Problem Definition​​​​​​​
BackGround
Gamma Shoes is an upcoming retailer specializing in extreme athletic wear. As part of their year end review, they have commissioned you to design a sales analysis dashboard for them.The purpose of the dashboard is to allow their sales executives, as well as finance.

Review the performance of 3 key product lines in different places, with different sales.

Forecast trends for shoes by location, as well as overall sales trends for a given city or store.
Stakeholders
Executives are responsible for making decisions that can make or break a company. To lead well, they need to be able to keep both the big picture and the details of day-to-day operations in mind.

A small business dashboard is an all-in-one dashboard that helps to grow the small business by allowing people to track all key performance indicators, spot trends, and gather business intelligence.

Executives can securely monitor sensitive information such as financial activity, sales and marketing effectiveness, and employee productivity.

*Since it is not easy to find someone perfect related to this project within a short time, I interviewed with people who has enough work experience instead. I explain the scenario to them and explain the desk research and post monitoring to help them get the mindset. As a result, they give me some feedback based on their knowledge and experience.

Why it is important?
Today’s sales environment is the most competitive it has ever been. More than ever, companies need to leverage technology to optimize operations, maximize performance, and provide powerful sales enablement tools that help teams sell more efficiently.
Design Direction
In order to understand customer needs in a way that makes innovation predictable, companies should focus on the underlying process or “job” the customer is trying to get done.

A low-fidelity overview of the product or feature. Sketches, wireframes describe the solution. They show the design insights and highlight the key ideas.​​​​​​​
Sketch
For the sales, since they check the dashboard every day, it is important to highlight the KPI and the comparison with the others. For Stores, Products and Sales, they all separate into different level information dashboards, choosing the fit data visualization charts, to compare the performance all together, or view detailed information and see the trend and sales goals.
The Solution
I select several screens to develop mid-fidelity mockup, which describe my work clearly and concisely. I choose different kinds of data visualization types, varies filters, and structuring information hierarchy to help the company make business intelligence.
Reflection
It will design better if there is enough time for usability testing. For the short time exercise, luckily, I find frictional users and test the discoverability. Within the limited condition, it may not being defined the accurate business case. But I believe if I can recruit the correct one, I am confident to complete the good job.​​​​​​​
